New Secretary for Irish Squash:
Gerry Connaughton, who has been the Junior Administrator for Munster Squash
for the past five seasons, has been elected Junior Secretary for Irish Squash.
We wish Gerry every success in his new position. Irish Squash's gain is Munster's
loss and we now need to fill another key position. See committee.

The All Ireland Schools Competition:
Congratulations to St. Michael's Holycross girls under 13, Scoil Ailbhe Thurles
boys under 13, Presentation Secondary School Thurles girls under 15 and St.
Brendan's College Killarney boys under 15 who represented Munster at the All
Ireland Schools Finals in Sligo in April. Check out more details and pics on

Junior Interprovincial Championships 2006:
Well done to all Munster players who made the interpro. teams this season.
We didn't manage a title this season but we all came home determined to do even

Prince Munster Junior (Closed) Championship 2006:
This competition was held in Cork over the weekend of February 10-12
and was used to help the Munster Junior teams for the Interprovincial Championships

The Ulster Junior Open:
Well done to Rachel Power who won the U13 Girls competition
in the Ulster Open. The event was held in Queens University Sports Complex over
the weekend of 21-23 October.

The Connacht Junior Open:
Well done to all junior players from Munster who made the trip. Congratulations
to Brian Dunbar in his marvellous achievement in winning the
Boys U13 final. Well done also to Rachel Power who was runner-up
in the Girls U13. This, the first ranking junior open of the season, was held
in the Galway LTC Club at Salthill over the weekend of September 16-18.
