Munster Junior Invitational 2015

The Munster Junior Invitational took place over the weekend of the 7th and 8th of November, in Thurles. Congratulations to all the juniors who traveled to, and took part in another great weekend of squash.

The Girls U11 event saw Niamh Kirwan take the top spot with Alanna Murphy coming in close behind in second in a great final match between the pair. [Full Results]

The Boys U13 final was between Philip O’Connell and Cillian McDonagh. Philip proved to be the stronger player on the day, winning 3-0. The 3/4 playoff was a great tussle between Mark Murphy and Eoghan Dunphy with Eoghan taking the 3rd place. The plate winner was James Hayden who bounced back from a tough first round to take the next few matches. [Full Results]

Owen Murphy and Jamie Walker competed in the Boys U15 final, with Owen coming out top 3-0 with a stunning display of racket skills. [Full Results]

In the Girls U15 final, Roisin Kirwan took the top spot beating Jordan Scholtz in the final, 3-0. [Full Results]

The Boys U17 final was between James Gaffney and Bill Lacey, with the former winning 3-0 on the day. [Full Results]

The Girls U17 event saw Sophie O’Rourke claiming top spot and adding to her formidable trophy collection, with Claire Dempsey finishing in second. [Full Results]

The Boys U19 event was won by Karl McLoughney, with Aidan Murphy finishing in second. [Full Results]
