The Munster Senior (Closed) Championships 2008
This tournament - jointly sponsored by J.D. Scaffolding and Express Kitchens & Floors - was held in Cork over the weekend of February 8 - 10 at Sunday's Well, Silversprings and Highfield and the top finishers will represent Munster in the Interprovincial Championships later in the season.
 
Men's A final, Silverspring's John Hurley regained his senior title with a comprehensive 3-0 win over the holder, Kevin Knox from Waterford Celtic. Highfield's Conor O'Donoghue took third place with a 3-0 win against Limerick's Dermot MacNamara and Brian Healy was a 3-1 winner against Ken O'Keeffe to take the 5th. place spot.
Eleanor Lapthorne (Highfield) retained her Ladies title with a 3-0 win against club-mate Clare Jones. Silverspring's Charlie Sturm won the Men's B with a 3-2 win against Killarney's Frank Ryan; Eoin Fanning recovered from match ball down in the fourth game to beat Kieran Cogan in the Final of the Men's C while The Orchard's Ian McLean had an equally dramatic comeback in the fifth to beat Highfield's Michael Ryan.
