The Munster Squash AGM was held in Sundays Well Club on Wednesday the 20th of May at 7:30pm.
Congrats and thank you to Siobhan O’Malley and Constance Young for taking up the roles of Secretary and Colleges Officer on the Munster Squash Committee.
We would also like to thank Cyril O’Mahony and Ken O’Keeffe for their services to Munster Squash. Both have been immensely hard working and dedicated in their roles of Junior Officer and Treasurer respectively. Their insights will be missed but they have served for longer than could have been asked for and it’s time for new blood.
We are still looking for people to take over the roles of Treasurer and Junior Officer. If anyone is interested, please contact the current president, , for details about the position.

Highfield and Sunday’s Well squash clubs in Cork, hosted a very successful U11/13 beginners tournament on bank holiday Monday 4th May. Thirty juniors from Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick and Cork competed at the event. For many of the juniors it was their first competitive event and everyone was given plenty of match time on the day. It was great to see so many new people taking part and enjoying the event. There were some great battles on court and the competition results are shown below.
The Munster Select side played Highfield ‘A’, while Thurles travelled to Silver Springs.
Highfield ‘A’ took the Munster Squash division 2 title on the final night with a convincing 5-0 win over the Munster Select Team. Sunday’s Well finished a very close second and very little separated the teams at the end.
Congrats to everyone who played over the league and a massive thank you to Michael Mulhall, the division 2 league secretary. Read more ›
