{"id":63,"date":"2014-08-14T16:19:49","date_gmt":"2014-08-14T16:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/wordpress\/?page_id=63"},"modified":"2016-02-20T12:55:50","modified_gmt":"2016-02-20T12:55:50","slug":"anti-doping","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.munstersquash.com\/index.php\/anti-doping\/","title":{"rendered":"Anti Doping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b style=\"color: #000000;\">Drugs and Squash\u00a0<\/b><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In 2001 the Irish Sports Council launched its anti-<\/span><wbr style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">doping policy and since them Irish Squash has up-<\/span><wbr style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">dated its rules.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bye Law 8 deals with the area of doping and the main points are as follows:<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the interest of fair play and health, the use of some substances is prohibited.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Irish Team and Squad players from U19 age group upwards are liable to dope testing at any time of the year.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Players can be tested at squads, at competitions or, in fact, anywhere!<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Players testing positive for prohibited substances will be liable to serious sanctions imposed by the disciplinary committee of Irish Squash.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The substances which are prohibited are those on the International Olympic Committee List of Doping Classes and Methods as amended from time to time.<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you need to take medicine you will have to be very careful that it does not break the rules. All International and National players must be aware that in order to use either a restricted medication (e.g asthma inhalers or steroid creams or ointments) or a prohibited medication to treat a medical condition they must apply to the Irish Sports Council or the World Squash Federation for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).<\/span><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><br style=\"color: #000000;\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you are in competition and taking medicine, and you have to let your team coach or manager know. Be warned! This is a very serious area and it is up to you to make sure that you follow the rules.
