The main idea behind this series of Coaching Conferences is to connect our community of coaches throughout Munster with the aim of embedding a culture of coaching within our clubs. Also to understand best practices to grow our game by offering a fun and engaging experience, especially to those new to squash. Also to understand best practices to grow our game by offering a fun and engaging experience, especially to those new to squash our juniors starters and improvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are very lucky in Munster to have a strong ratio of coaches to clubs and this initiative will help create a vibrant and connected coaching community to ensure coaching is easily accessible to every club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Format: <\/strong>Three sessions with a mix of discussion and practical<br><strong>Cost:<\/strong> Free \/ Snacks and light lunch provided<br><strong>For Whom:<\/strong> Qualified Coaches, Leader Qualified, Club Officials, Volunteers, You <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 1:  Introduction &amp; Case Studies (10:00am -12 pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Introductions<br>Celtic: Case study Junior academy<br>Highfield: Case study of recent school programmes<br>Thurles: Case study junior club revival and Garda Vetting procedures<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 2: Discussion Questions (1 hour 12.15pm -1.15 pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>(i) Question: How can we grow the number of juniors playing squash<br>(ii) Question: How can we make squash more engaging for families &amp;<br>communities<br>(iii) Question: How best to deliver targeted local coaching programmes (TLC)<br>(iv) Question: How can we engrain a culture of long-term coaching in our clubs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lunch: (1.15pm-2pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 3: Court Session Demonstrations (2pm -3:30pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Beginner kids \u2013 emphasis on fun and engagement<br>Improving Juniors \u2013 emphasis on fun plus improvement techniques<br>Advancing player \u2013 more technical &amp; specific training\/drills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wrap up<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 22nd in Limerick Lawn Squash Club\u00a0will host the Munster Squash second Coaches\/Volunteers conference, its starts at 10 am lunch will be provided and it will end at 4 pm.
