Thurles Squash hosted this year\u2019s Munster Junior Invitation competition \u2013 Gerry Connaughton was the tournament director. This is one of the top junior tournaments on Munster Squash\u2019s calendar. It was a hectic two days as a record-breaking fifty-six junior squash players from all over Munster entered \u2013 representation from Dunhill, Highfield, Celtic & Thurles. Eighty-six matches were contested over two days and with just two courts available this presented a logistical challenge to the organisers.<\/p>\n
Great credit is due to the Munster Junior Administrator Cyril O\u2019Mahony who scheduled all the matches for the weekend. There were entries in all ten Age\/Gender groups; BU11, BU13, BU15, BU17, BU19, GU11, GU13, GU15, GU17 and GU19!<\/p>\n
It delivered a great weekend of Junior Squash.<\/p>\n
