Thurles SC Division 2 Champions 2026

Congratulations to Captain Michael Ely and his Thurles SC, who won the Division 2 league in Highfield against Gleneagle SC. Thurles started really well, winning the number 5 and 4 strings, then the Gleneagle captain pulled one back to make it 2-1. Donnagh Crwley playing at string 2 beat Neil Brannigan to make it 2-2. Down to the decider and Jack Branigan from Thurles won 3-1 against Tim O’Leary to clinch the title and the league honours for Thurles SC.

Thank you to all captains from all clubs who took part in the League. The captains do a great job organizing their team week in week out. Thanks also to Sundays Well SC for hosting the semi-finals between Celtic SC and Gleneagle SC, and also to Highfield SC for hosting the Final. Last but not least, thanks to all the players for their commitment and competitiveness throughout the league.
